Beyond medication, preventive strategies play a vital role in managing pulmonary embolism. These include early mobilization after surgery, using compression stockings, staying hydrated during long travel, and maintaining a healthy weight. For high-risk individuals, prophylactic anticoagulation may be recommended in certain clinical scenarios.
