Around the fifth to sixth day, steamed or boiled vegetables (without added oil) can be introduced. Cooking methods should focus on simplicity—boiling or making vegetable porridge without fats or oils. Avoiding greasy or high-fat foods is crucial during this time to prevent triggering another flare-up.

After about one week, if tolerated well, protein powder can be cautiously added to the diet. However, it should be low-fat and consumed in moderation. At this stage, maintaining a low-salt, low-fat eating pattern remains essential for continued recovery.

By the second week, individuals can slowly increase their intake of low-fat foods while diversifying carbohydrate sources. The key principle throughout the recovery process is gradual progression—starting with small amounts and slowly increasing both variety and quantity. Rushing the process or consuming inappropriate foods too soon can significantly increase the risk of recurrence.

In summary, while protein powder is not suitable during the acute or immediate recovery phases, it can be safely introduced after about a week, provided the patient is tolerating earlier stages of the diet well.
