Gastric ulcers are considered a more severe condition compared to other common stomach issues like gastritis or superficial mucosal erosion. It's important to note that the treatment duration for gastric ulcers is typically longer than for other gastrointestinal conditions, usually ranging from 6 to 8 weeks.
