Common Causes and Associated Symptoms

1. Congenital Heart Disease

Children with congenital heart defects may experience symptoms such as dryness around the mouth, rapid heartbeat, shortness of breath, and swelling in various parts of the body. These signs often point to more serious cardiovascular issues that require medical evaluation.

2. Anemia

Anemia in children can lead to paleness of the nail beds, skin, and lips. Additional symptoms may include poor appetite and general fatigue. This condition reduces the oxygen-carrying capacity of the blood, which can in turn cause an elevated heart rate.

3. Respiratory Infections Linked to Congenital Heart Disease

In cases where congenital heart disease is complicated by respiratory infections such as bronchopneumonia, symptoms may include rapid breathing, dryness around the mouth, and in more severe cases, enlargement of the liver and spleen, decreased urine output, abnormal electrocardiogram (ECG) results, and irregular chest X-ray findings.
