Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a critical life-saving technique that everyone should be familiar with. Correct Compression Technique

Proper hand placement and body positioning are crucial for effective CPR. The correct compression site is the center of the chest, at the midpoint of the line connecting both nipples. Use the heel of your hand for compressions, keeping your arms and shoulders straight and aligned. Make sure to apply pressure directly downward, maintaining a 90-degree angle to the chest.

Maintaining the Right Compression Rate

Speed plays a vital role in CPR success. Aim for a compression rate of 100 to 120 compressions per minute. This pace mimics the natural rhythm of a healthy heartbeat and ensures adequate blood circulation during resuscitation efforts.

Adequate Compression Depth

Depth of compressions significantly affects CPR outcomes. Each compression should reach at least 5 cm (approximately 2 inches) in depth. This depth allows sufficient pressure to stimulate blood flow through the heart chambers.

Continuous Compressions Without Interruption

Allowing Full Chest Recoil
