This bacterial infection is known to increase the likelihood of developing stomach cancer, and therefore, eradication therapy is strongly recommended for infected individuals. Additionally, those with a family history of cancer face a higher risk compared to individuals without such a background. For this group, frequent monitoring and early intervention are especially important in preventing the onset of gastric cancer.
